Hey there! Mark Della-Croce, Product Lead of Lore Link, here. As I wrap up the Data Refactor testing, and while working with some awesome guests for our Twitch channel, I was kindly reminded by our Communications Director that I need to, well, communicate. So let’s get started with that!
We announced last month that we would be starting a new series of Twitch streams this month, and we have not one but two new series launching here in September. First of all, our aforementioned Communications Director, Tony Troxell, is planning a Star Trek Adventures game. He has already streamed the first half of his planning sessions, and he’ll finish up next week, on September 23rd. Then, he and the Lore Link Players will take to the stars on September 26th, starting at 1:00 PM ET! Our second new series has also begun, as we collaborate with awesome indie creators to explore new and upcoming indie TTRPGs. We started with a great one, working with Laurie O’Connel, the writer of Full Send. Full Send is a mountaineering game that uses tarot cards to play the role of randomizing results, rather than rolling dice. Laurie led me and some of the Lore Link Players through a hazardous climb up Mt. Everest, which might have ended in tragedy, had it not been for a last-second save. Check out that playthrough, as well as the conversation I had with Laurie about the game, in our YouTube archives! Full Send has just ended its crowdfunding on Kickstarter, but late backing may be available, so check it out. And last but not least, Twenty joined us solo to play Book of Demons, a cool-looking papercraft RPG hack-and-slash game.
Coming up in our Indie Creator series, we’re checking out not a game, but something that can help elevate your game to the next level: the Elvish grammar and dictionary guide Toranag ise es Tobrim with the author, Kristen Gielecki. That’ll be on September 30th, so join us for that. We are in discussions with a bunch more indie creators for this stream series, and of course, Halloween in October means a return to spooky games, so look forward to that on our Twitch channel!
If you’d like to catch us in person, rather than just online, we’ll be attending three different conventions in the coming weeks! We’re splitting the party on October 4th, with Mike heading to Playthrough and Mark heading to Hope Con. Then, on October 11th, Mark will be at Loophi-Con. Check out our Bluesky for booth information as that becomes available!
And lastly, not to be forgotten, the Lore Refactor has entered its last testing phase. Make sure to keep an eye out either here, on our Discord, or in your notifications within Lore Link to know when that is going live!
Alright, that counts as enough communicating for now, so ‘til next time: may you actually get that Spooky Month game scheduled!
