Gen Con 2026, Here We Come!

This is the week, everyone! Gen Con has returned to the Indianapolis Convention Center! And Lucas Oil Stadium! And every hotel in about seven square miles around the Convention Center! And surface parking lots around the area! And…

You get the idea.

In all seriousness, the Best Four Days in Gaming™ will be here this weekend, July 30th through August 2nd, and Mark and I (Tony, your Communications Person) will be there. This time, though, we aren’t in the Maker’s Market. Nope, this year we’ll be in the Exhibit Hall, over in Entrepreneur’s Avenue, booth 2862!

So, what are we doing there?

First and foremost, we want to show you our accessible tabletop role-playing game campaign management and collaboration tool. We want to see how we can help your game run more smoothly. We want to know what some of your pain points are when it comes to preparing and running your games, and how we can help. Heck, if you don’t run games, we want to know why not? TL;DR, we want to know how we can help YOU run your game.

While promoting Lore Link is a really important part of why we’re there, that’s not the only reason we’re thrilled to be at Gen Con this year: there’s also our Indie Creator Series over on our Twitch channel. We’re currently working through our current batch of interested parties, and we really want to find more game creators to talk to. If you are a game creator, make sure to drop by, say hi, and get on our list. If you know a game creator? Tell them to stop by, say hi, and get on our list.

Finally, what’s a convention without some swag, right? Firstly, please keep in mind that the following items will be available in a limited supply each day. Secondly, be sure to keep an eye on our Bluesky account each morning to see which items, and how many, will be available that day. What items will be available? We’re glad you asked:

  • Badge ribbons: that time-honored, essential part of a convention booth these days, right? Stop by, say hi, ask nicely, and you can have one of the Gamemaster ribbons!
  • Dice: How can you have a booth without dice? All we ask in return is you sign up for our monthly newsletter at the booth during the con. That’s it! We don’t sell the addresses, we don’t spam, we just drop into your inbox once a month to tell you what’s going on with Lore Link, our Twitch stream, and fill you in on things like Gen Con.
  • Notebooks and pencils: yes, we do have cool Lore Link dot grid notebooks and mechanical pencils! Give us some of your time, let us tell you about Lore Link, and talk to us about some of those pain points we mentioned above. We hope you don’t mind, and you’ll get a nice little journal for your next campaign!
  • Time Out Chairs: Finally, we have a very limited amount of 3D printed “Time Out” chairs for when your dice aren’t rolling as well as you’d like them to. These are provided by Troxell’s Trading Post using files by Fate’s End*. If you sign up for Lore Link at the Multiverse level during the convention and show us, then one of those chairs can be yours (while supplies last).

Once again, to keep up with everything happening at the con, including when we’re out of items, follow us on Bluesky - hopefully have internet in the back of the Exhibit Hall! We will be located in Entrepreneur’s Avenue, booth 2862, and we’re looking forward to talking to you about Lore Link, about what your issues are running games, and hopefully talking to some indie game creators about telling us about their games on our Twitch Stream!

If you’re heading to Gen Con, please travel safely, and while you’re here in Indianapolis, we hope you have a good time! Just pay attention to your maps because there’s a lot of construction happening right now in and around downtown. Plus, while you’re going to have a lot to do, and you have extreme FOMO, please remember the 6-2-1 rule for conventions: six hours of sleep every night, two actual meals every day, and one shower every day. Trust me, you’ll have a much more enjoyable con experience following those rules!
