In September of 2025, one of our earlier streams showcasing indie creators included Cannon Otter Studio’s Chuck Kranze and Adam Rose sitting down with Mike to talk about their games Skin City and Teenage Oddyssey. Over the course of an hour, they talked about the origins of Cannon Otter Studio, the concepts behind their games, and what their future plans might be.
Teenage Oddyssey is a game “powered by Mark of the Odd with a heavy focus on wild and crazy adventures endured in the imaginations of teenagers from the 1990s.” Mike and the Cannon Otter crew discussed the Mark of the Odd system and the inspiration behind the ‘90s setting for the game, among other things.
Skin City is a unique game in which you play as a skeleton fitted with a meatsuit, in order to blend in with human residents of the titular city. Mike asked Chuck about where the idea for the game came from, and they dove into the premise, lore and mechanics.
In addition to discussing the games, there was lots of discussion of personal RPG history, art and aesthetics, deep lore, and future plans for Cannon Otter.
Lore Link would like to thank Chuck and Adam for joining us and talking about their projects. You can find Cannon Otter Studio on their website, on Bluesky, and you can find Teenage Oddyssey and Skin City on DriveThru RPG. Of course, you can find the YouTube video of the stream over on the Lore Link YouTube channel or embedded right here in this post. Make sure you check everything out!
